Ashley graduated from Baylor University and received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Clarkson University. She has always had a passion for working with and advocating for children. Ashley has over 2.5 years experience in pediatric physical therapy. She has experience working with patients with a wide variety of diagnoses including Autism, torticollis, Cerebral Palsy, developmental delay, Down Syndrome, rare neurological disorders, and more. Ashley enjoys getting to know the patient and families to understand their needs to provide patient and family centered care.
Ashley recently moved to Charleston with her family, dog and 2 cats. In her free time, Ashley enjoys going to the beach, reading a good book, baking, watching F1 and Indycar races, working out, and spending time with her family.
Kaysten is a Physical Therapist living in Simpsonville, SC. He earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from South College in Knoxville, TN, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from Brigham Young University–Idaho. With three years of experience in physical therapy, Kaysten has built a strong foundation in outpatient orthopedics while also developing a deep interest in pediatric care. His hands-on experience working with children during PT school and in clinical practice has fueled his dedication to supporting kids and their families through fun, functional, and individualized therapy.
Outside of work, Kaysten enjoys life with his amazing wife and their baby boy. He enjoys playing both pickleball and basketball. He also enjoys listening to all genres of music and attending concerts. Above all, Kaysten values time with family and loves making new memories with them.
Sandy is a pediatric physical therapist residing in Fountain Inn, SC. She graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Allied Medicine from The Ohio State University in 1990 and completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Arcadia University in 2017. She has worked in a variety of pediatric areas including school based, early intervention, clinic based and long term palliative care. She finds great joy in helping children and providing parents/caregivers tools and encouragement to maximize their abilities and progress with their developmental skills in all areas.
She moved from the Sarasota Florida area to South Carolina in 2023. She and her husband, Dean, have a blended family including 4 adult children from Sandy and 2 adult children from Dean. Together they have 5 grandchildren with one more on the way in June of 2025. Sandy and Dean have a fur-child Yorkshire Terrier named Bear who tends to run their world. Sandy enjoys spending time with her family, reading books, being outside in the sun and traveling.
Julia - Marketing and Office Manager
Julia graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology with an emphasis in Cultural Anthropology. She has a background in Childcare, Marketing, and Office/Property Management. She works on all marketing aspects of HGPT and helps with social media. She also plays a role in an administrative capacity assisting our therapists as needed on a weekly basis as our Office Manager.
Julia is married and moved to Charleston with her husband almost two years ago, she loves it here in the lowcountry. Her and her husband have a sweet little dog named Piper that gets them out and about for long walks downtown, at the beach, and all around the lowcountry. Julia is passionate about her friends, family, community, and finding joy and adventure in everyday life.
Ross has over 7 years of pediatric therapy experience working with any and all levels of physical limitations from birth to 21+, from premature infants with complex needs, to kids simply needing a boost for a mild developmental delay. He has experience with all major pediatric therapy conditions, including torticollis/plagiocephaly, developmental delay, CP, Down Syndrome, Spina Bifida, Autism, as well as a host of rare and complex medical conditions. He has also been training with various respiratory and sensory courses, and takes pride to being able to address a child's needs beyond those of a simple gross motor nature. He also notes that he is eager to explore and learn more about other medical conditions that he may come across. More than anything, Ross enjoys getting to know a child on their level, creating a bond, and working on development with a mutual trust.
Ross earned his doctorate in physical therapy from the Phoenix campus of Northern Arizona University’s DPT program. Prior to PT school, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Brigham Young University-Idaho. Ross is the happy husband of an amazing wife and proud father of 3 amazing young children. In his free time he enjoys spending time with family, dreaming on past days of playing soccer, watching sports, serving the community, pretending he can surf, and camping.
Paige - Billing Manager
Paige graduated from Western Kentucky University with a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration and from the Medical University of South Carolina with master’s degree in healthcare administration. She has over 10 years of experience in medical credentialing and revenue cycle management. Paige’s favorite part of her job is working closely with our clinicians and with parents of pediatric clients to secure the most comprehensive insurance coverage at the lowest possible cost to the family.
Paige has lived in Charleston since 2013 and loves spending time with her husband and daughter here in the Lowcountry and traveling with them to see and experience new places abroad.
